A prequel through Zero's eyes
The story follows the blonde player from Beyond the World, nicknamed Zero, roughly one year before the base MiSide story.
MiSide Zero is a fan-made prequel and reimagining of MiSide by Voidway. It follows the blonde player known as Zero roughly one year before the base game, while rewriting parts of the world, plot and character arcs.
Important: This is an independent fan project. Voidway states that it is not affiliated with AIHASTO or IndieArk.

Story and current experience
Voidway calls the project both a prequel and a reimagining. It borrows MiSide's visual language, then deliberately rewrites the world rules, plotlines and character arcs around the blonde player known as Zero.
The story follows the blonde player from Beyond the World, nicknamed Zero, roughly one year before the base MiSide story.
Voidway describes the project as a major rewrite of world mechanics, plotlines and character arcs—not a missing official MiSide chapter.
The current Windows build is marked In development and lists an average session of about half an hour.
Alpha 0.71 added left-click interaction, an in-game controls guide, an FPS counter, an animated menu logo, Mila in the menu and a Cappie soundtrack.
The public build is a short, in-development preview—not the finished six-ending game sometimes described by third-party pages.
Voidway's official listing currently describes a Windows Alpha with an average session of about half an hour. Alpha 0.71 added presentation and control improvements, while 0.72 was a security-focused Unity rebuild.
Keep roadmap and released content separate: additional Mitas, endings and localization should only be presented as available after Voidway confirms them on an official channel.
Voidway lists these requirements for 1080p at the lowest settings.
Story and protagonist comparison
The key distinction is not simply "official game versus fan game." MiSide uses a broad player surrogate inside its canon horror story; MiSide Zero gives the blonde Zero a visible role in an earlier, intentionally rewritten continuity.
Comparison wording follows AIHASTO's official MiSide description and Voidway's current itch.io listing; speculative character psychology is intentionally excluded.

Need a quick answer?
Clear answers about the current Alpha, safe downloads, endings, localization and its relationship to the original MiSide.
No. It is a fan-made project by Voidway. The developers explicitly state that they are not affiliated with AIHASTO or IndieArk.
The latest public build listed on the official itch.io page is Alpha 0.72, released on January 30, 2026.
Use Voidway's official itch.io page. Avoid third-party mirrors and repacks because the developer cannot verify whether those files are unchanged.
Do not treat six endings as current Alpha content. The official public itch.io page does not list six playable endings in Alpha 0.72; ending counts discussed elsewhere refer to plans or community reporting.
No. MiSide Zero is a separate fan-made game. Its current itch.io listing does not advertise a built-in Peaceful Mode, while the original MiSide's Peaceful Mode is a separate feature planned by AIHASTO.
The original game describes its lead as a simple, mostly unnamed player surrogate. MiSide Zero instead centers the visible blonde player from Beyond the World, gives him the nickname Zero, and builds a rewritten prequel around his earlier visit to MiSide.
Not in the language list currently published on itch.io. Treat Chinese localization as unconfirmed until Voidway adds it to the official page or announces it directly.
