PlayMiside.com is a guide site you can read without an account. We do not ask you to register, log in, or submit anything. This page explains the data that is nevertheless involved when you visit, and who else is in that picture.
1. The short version
There are no user accounts on this site, no login, no comment system, and no forms that ask for your personal details. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell data.
What does happen is ordinary web analytics and third-party advertising, both of which involve cookies. Those are covered below.
2. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages get read and roughly where readers come from. It records things like page views, referring site, approximate location derived from IP, and general device and browser information.
We use this only in aggregate, to decide what to write and what to fix. Google processes this data under its own terms as an independent controller.
3. Advertising
This site is funded by third-party advertising. Our ad network and its partners may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to measure and select ads, including personalised ads where that is permitted in your region.
We do not receive your personal details from the ad network, and we do not pass any information about you to it beyond what your browser sends when an ad loads.
4. Embedded content
Some pages embed material hosted elsewhere, such as YouTube videos and posts from X. Those embeds load directly from the third party and can set their own cookies and see your IP address, exactly as if you had visited that site.
Their privacy policies apply to that interaction, not ours.
5. Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies specifically. The site remains readable with cookies blocked.
Google provides an opt-out browser add-on for Analytics, and ad personalisation can usually be limited through your browser or device advertising settings.
6. Language preference
If you switch languages, that choice may be stored in a cookie so the site can keep showing you the language you picked.
It contains a language code and nothing that identifies you.
7. Data retention and transfers
We do not operate our own database of visitor data. Retention is determined by the third-party services described above, under their own policies.
Those providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
8. Children
MiSide is a horror game with mature content, and this site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you believe a child has provided information through a third-party service used on this site, contact that service and, if it helps, contact us as well.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to certain processing.
Because the data described here sits with third-party providers rather than with us, those requests are usually best directed to them. If you are not sure where to start, email us and we will point you to the right place.

We will update this page if the services we use change. The date at the top shows the last revision.
